	ACTIVITY INFORMATION << return to Event Calendar Indoor Vermicomposting Feb 17, 2010 This class will include a lecture and hands-on demo on the basics of successful kitchen worm-composting. Topics covered include basics on the biology of worms, building a worm bin, acquiring worms locally, keeping the worms healthy, avoiding unwanted pests, and separating out nutrient-rich vermicompost for use in the garden or on houseplants. $10 Suggested Donation (ca$h or check to the Phoenix Permaculture Guild) The Tempe Transportation Center is located at 200 E. Fifth Street (north side accross from Forest Ave) at the base of A-Mountain. The class will be on the second floor in the Don Cassano Community Room. Go UP elevator. There’s a light rail stop there if you’re taking the train. Parking is available across the street in a covered garage, which is $1.50 for the first hour and free thereafter.
